The last Grand Master of the Templar Order, Jacques de Molay, was tortured and burned at the stake in 1314, by order of King Philip IV of France, who pressured Pope Clement V to disband the Order and arrest all its members. Legend has it that de Molay issued his dying curse against the King and Pope, saying that he would meet them before God before the year was out. Pope Clement died only a month later, and King Philip died later that year in a hunting accident. Many of the knights escaped the reach of the King’s men, travelling to the outer parts of Europe and the Middle East. Rumours quickly circulated that they carried with them some of the orders greatest secrets and treasures.
One of these places was the West coast of Ireland where the Order had established a fortified Castle. There they remained in self imposed exile and all that remains of the castle today is the ruins of the outer walls.
Present day intercepted Communicaes from the militant faction know as the brethren detailing how they had found and confirmed new evidence as to the approximate location of one of these lost treasures in the woodland adjacent to the castle ruin. All efforts to establish further communications with their 2 man scouting party have been unsuccessful. The hierarchy of this fanatical militant cult are confident that they have located one of the most treasured of the Knights Templars secrets and have committed a number of their most trusted operatives to secure the prise. Fears are growing that if the Brethren succeed in their retrieval of this unknown treasure/entity that they may use it to fund further terrorist activates and therefore a covert coalition group have been ordered to intercept and neutralist this treat.

Gun hits will not count but please call “Gun Hit” as a courtesy to the attacking player, please also bring your pistols as secondary.
Be sporting, respectful and most of all honourable to your fellow players.
Everyone will be given a bandage before the game, medics will be given extra bandages. A player may not carry more than his own bandage.Once hit take a standing count of 3 minutes. During this time you may only call for a medic. On your first hit any medic or squad member may apply a bandage. If a medic or squad member can get to you without getting hit and apply a bandage then you are back in the game. If you are not attended to before your bleed out time then you have to go to your designated M.A.S.H. area where you must wait for 10 minutes before returning to the game. (Remember to remove your bandage once your 10 min is up) The second time your hit,(ie while already wearing a bandage), the same procedure applies as above BUT it is ONLY A MEDIC that may apply you field dressing. If you have two bandages on your arm then the next time you are hit you are instantly dead and must return to your regen area (without a standing count of 3 minutes) and wait for 10 minutes before rejoining the game. Medic numbers will be a ratio of 1 medic in every 8 players. As there is a designated respawn area for each faction we ask that you do not camp out on these regen areas. I would like to stress at this point that an old time piece is essential for these types of games in order to play honorably.
Mid cap mags only.50 rounds max in any mag.( this includes the bbs that don't feed up into the gun, hence the maximum limit if checked is 70BBs in any mag. You are not permitted to carry loose bags or bottles of bbs on you.
You must have a proper Support Gun aka an M60 or M249 etc. “no G36C’s with box mags please.....Only one Support Gunner per Squad. Ammo Limit is one box with a maximum of 2000 BBs
must be a bolt action sniper rifle and the appropriate loadout must be the top half of a ghillie suit. 3x30 round mags and 2 secondary pistol mags
The player must first be treated by a medic in order to be moved. Then he is given the option to either forgo interrogation or choose one of two techniques. The first technique consists of placing both arms out straight and the players rifle is placed above the wrists, this position is to be maintained for 2 min. If the player is successful in holding the rifle aloft for 2min he will be released without question. If the player is unsuccessful in his attempt he make be asked 2 questions which he must answer truthfully.
The second method of interrogation is the Plank. The captured player takes up a press-up position with his forearms on the ground and back straight and must hold this position for 2min. If he fails he must then like the above answer 2 questions.
Players that successfully finish the above must be released at at this point and will be required to make their way to the nearest respawn that is not under enemy control and wait 5min before returning to the game.
Please make sure that everyone has some form of time piece for both respawn time limits and also interrogation timing. If you do not have one you may not interrogate a prisoner.
Last weekend saw the Tigers Airsoft Team battle in the "Ashes of War" part 1 event at Copehill MOD Base in England. It was a hard fought battle to gain ground fighting tooth and nail for every yard gained in the hot temperatures of the March morning but by mid-day on the Saturday the green side had pushed back the enemy practically to the gates of their CP. They also had the added problems of avoiding detection from APC's and other armored vehicles with mounted M249's. The battle continued through the night and the Tigers team clocked in a formidable amount of hours in game some clocking 21 hours of the 24 hour game. For such a small Airsoft community in Sligo the team made a huge impression on the more seasoned Airsoft community of England, Walesand Dublin. All members of Tigerland should be proud of their efforts and achievements in the field and how they conducted themselves abroad.

The weekend of the 23rd of March to the 25th see's the Sligo based contingent of the Tigers Airsoft Team meet with their brothers from Dublin to travel to England to represent both their team and Tigerland Sligo in a 29 hour Battlesim event called the THE ASHES OF WAR, this takes place on a British Military Base and training area called Copehill Down Village, England. Tirgerland Airsoft would like to wish the lads the best of luck and a result of the amount of members traveling that weekend Tigerland will be closed.

Saturday 18th FEB 2012
Pentagon has authorized MACV-SOG to launch operations Across the Border, from South-Vietnam into Laos,. SOG has a bully reputation, they go in and pick fights with VC and NVA elements, even though they are vastly outnumbered.
SOG's priority is to provide reconnaissance of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, observing the entire logistical system of the NVA and VC.
-Choose the best route to approach the target area. Emphasis on Patrol Tactics.
-Infiltrate the Ho Chi Minh Trail, observe and take notes of the situation.
-Plant trip wires on designated targets of the Ho Chi Minh Trail marked on the map without being spotted. SOG will have the locations to plant the lines, the NVA won't.
-After the lines are detonated (20 second fuses each at close proximity), SOG will take advantage of the confusion and will try to capture a POW, either VC or NVA officer. If this is not possible and they are under an overwhelming rate of fire, they must immediately fall back and relocated, reform and think on their feet and devise a plan on foot to accomplish their objectives. Only this time they will not have the element of surprise and patrols will be out actively hunting them.
side objectives will be in play on both sides also, so no time for sitting on your ass.
- Their mission is to maintain guard along the Trail and Garrison at all times.
- If contact is made, they must pursue enemies until capture or all are KIA. Capture is preferable, at least two members of SOG.
This will be a semi auto game with restricted ammo limits, the emphasis being on stealth and accuracy.
Comms are needed so if you have them charge them up and bring them along.
VC will have an allowance of 600 rounds per soldier
SOG will be going in light with 300 rounds but will have an opportunity to reload at designated areas after certain objectives are met but they may not reload in these areas if under fire.
This mission will be averaging 2 to 3 hours. This will enable complete team authority over the selected terrain and routes used to approach the objectives.
The jungle is tough but SOG teams are tougher and nothing beats teamwork after all.
